The War Room can be a frustrating place, a tedious place but it can also be a place of great joy, excitement and breakthrough. I guess we just have to power through the tough times in order to experience the great answers to prayer that we are expecting. I had one such experience recently:
On the way from the Love Singapore Prayer Summit on the 14th of January, I met with a motorcycle accident as I was leaving Malacca. After x-rays and scans, doctors discovered that I had broken several bones in my foot. They wanted to book me in for a procedure to insert screws into my foot so that the bones could heal in the correct position. After 6 weeks I would have to go in again to have the screws removed. I opted not to have the procedure but to trust God for full and complete healing. This rapidly rose high up on my prayer list because I didn’t want to be on crutches and in a cast for four to five months. Two weeks ago, I went for another set of x-rays. The doctor cleared me for ‘full weight bear’. What a surprise (although, I shouldn’t have been)! I looked at the images on the screen. My foot looked completely normal. I asked her to show me the ‘before’ images just to satisfy myself that it was actually broken before. I left my crutches at the hospital! Praise the Lord. Now I continue to trust that there will be no side effects and that I will be able to run marathons again.
Another great War Room victory came from Ken Cheong on our WhatsApp group. He writes:
Hi Pastor Howard, when my wife, Traciy, was examined by the Doctor during her last check-up they detected a small image on the x-ray that her breast has lumps. That was before the evening that we gathered for the War Room movie. She had to go for a second check-up. I prayed after the War Room Session: "Heal Traciy Oh Lord & Traciy will be healed. Save Traciy Oh Lord & Traciy will be saved. For You are the one we praise". I prayed that our God will guard her from any harm, heal her & that the result from the second check-up will be in her favour. God answered my prayer! The doctor commented during her second check-up that they are just water bubbles & nothing serious. Praise our healer & Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ!
Here is the final, wonderful testimony of how God answers our prayers. Below is a series of WhatsApp exchanges about a 12 year old boy who was expected to die of cancer:

Dear Ps Howard & intercessors, on my way to sat Prayer, I got a call from Ps Guna informing me that there was a Filipino Family in KK Hospital now that just met Wendy Loh. The parents are Bong and Rose, their son 12 Kasius was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is in great pain. The doctors predicted that the boy only has a few weeks to live as the cancer has spread. Let's intercede for the family as the parents are inconsolable and devastated and they don’t know what to do.
Let's claim that full healing and salvation to come to this family in Jesus name.
I'm at Maniego’s place now and we shall pray for them. Wherever you are, let's pause and call upon our Lord to comfort and heal this family in Jesus name. Our prayers avail much!

The joy of the Lord be with us all as we receive this great news! The Lord has accomplished His purpose for causing us to meet the "Leal family". Today marks a new beginning in their lives. Bong, Rose, Ken and Kasius welcomed Jesus Christ, with joy, into their hearts.
The Holy Spirit was so tangible and touched us with His gentle presence. While we rejoice for this breakthrough, let's not put down our guards but continue to remember them as we pray - in their walk in this newness of life. Thanks for all your prayers! All glory! Honor! Praise and thanksgiving be unto Him who sits on the Throne and He reigns forever and ever! Jesus Christ is His Name! Amen!

Bong's update on Kasius:
Good news Bro Arnel! From a 4th stage aggressive bone cancer the doctor really didn’t expect my son would pull through... The oncologist doctor announced we already have a miracle! Although there are still some small lesions left and small molecular size thing in his kidney, overall everything is stable. They are expecting a week long radio therapy would clear and stabilize everything.
They are giving us 3 more months and my son will get back to his normal life but advise us to take extra care. Really God was with us all the way! Praise God and thanks all of you who helped us pray for my son and family.

Just cried with joy now because our Jesus is good and faithful. Update from bro Bong Leal:
Bro Arnel, Good news! We came home from hospital just now, Kasius won’t have to undergo radio therapy anymore. All tests are negative, no cancer in his whole body. He will be under observation for 3 months from now. Let's hope everything goes well for him. Thank you all for the offered prayers! Please continue praying. Praise God!
These are only a few of the exchanges that took place during a one year long prayer battle. I was updated during the entire process but it still brings tears to my eyes when I see the love of God displayed in such a wonderful way!
So, “… let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.” Gal 6:9 (TLB)
In War Room terms, that means: Keep on Praying!
Remember that the strategy is as follows:
1. Make a list of items that you would want to see prayer answers
2. Attach a scripture to each one of those items
3. Commit to pray for one hour per week (uninterrupted) into those items
4. Tick off, rejoice and share when your prayers are answered.
If you have difficulty praying for one hour, here is a good prayer schedule:
May God bless you as you continue to be faithful in Prayer.
